With a couple of kids with ASD, there is always a struggle in our life between therapies and treatment and what we can do in the community and just plain being a family...our world is like one balancing act after another.
I hope that while I am on this journey, I can offer you something...something that makes you happy or makes you think, or on the best of days, make us feel like we are better for sharing this little space. I hope I can find answers I am looking for, and I hope I can provide you with some. I hope I can be welcoming enough for you to feel comfortable being here, and I hope I make you feel at home enough to share your own stories or posts. I am here to share this struggle with you...the joys, the accomplishments, the pain, and the disappointment. I will do my best to share all of it.
Welcome to My Little Mommy World...allow me to share a day in the life of...
Mooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Lincoln is hitting me, and he won’t let me talk.
D’s holding Porter down, and now he won’t stop.
Port took his diaper off and he’s running away.
When are you going to sit down and play?
Hurry up, Mom, he peed on the rug.
I don’t know why he’s crying, I just wanted a hug.
Turn off the shampooer, Mom, he made Lincoln cry.
I didn’t see what happened, but he’s holding his eye.
Your phone is ringing. I don’t know where it is.
Wait that cup is mine, it was not his!!
He’s dumping my cheese-its, tell him to stop.
I don’t know, I didn’t even hear the cup drop.
Get the vacuum faster, Port kicked it around.
And he’s spraying his bottle all over the ground.
Turn off the vacuum, DD did it again.
D, we do not hurt our friends.
I hate doing homework, it just isn’t fair.
Why am I in time out and he’s still over there?
Why do I have to do it? Why doesn’t he?
He isn’t even sharing, Mom, come and help me.
Mom, did you ever get me my drink?
He’s back playing with the water in the sink.
It’s all over the floor, Mom, you better hurry.
I’ll watch them, Mom, don’t even worry.
Wait, Moooooom, he just bit my arm.
Something is burning. I hear the alarm.
Where is my snack? I’ve been asking forever.
I never have fun…never, never.
You said you would play, Mom, where are you now?
Crash…oh no, he just fell down.
